Oris TT1 Diver’s Date (733 7553 8555 MB) Review

  • Sharebar

If you can find one of these used for under $700, do whatever you can to get your hands on it. Oris watches put forth an unparalleled quality and precision in the price range. The TT1 Diver’s Date is a perfect example of the brand’s fantastic offerings. New, the bracelet alone sells for over $300, just to give you an idea of what to expect (and you should expect a good amount for this kind of money). Not only is the Stellita SW200 (identical to the ETA 2824-2) movement very accurate and proven to be ultra robust, the Oris TT1 is one of the most comfortable tool watches imaginable. How does it stack up against the pricier brands like Omega, Sinn, Kobold, Fortis in terms of fit and finish? Comparable, albeit at a fraction of the cost. That’s a pretty bold statement but to believe it, you have to try one out for yourself. We at CWR love the Oris divers and feel that everyone should at one point at least give it a shot. Whether it’s the older 200m or the newer 300m models, you can’t go wrong.
